Right, so you want to know about me. I don't like writing this sort of thing, it feels like what we used to do at school so I'll be very brief

My name is Mark Machin, I'm 24 going on 25. I've been messing around with HTML since about May this year but never done any seroius training. After graduating from The University of The West of England, Bristol with a B.A.(Hons) in Systems Analysis, I started work for an IT company in London (UK) called Logica who I must say are pretty good to work for. My current role is realted infrastucture support and development, I've worked for Logica for just over 2 years.

When I'm not working, I can usually be found somewhere in London trying to make the most of any spare time. Aikido is my serious past-time, I've been at it for about 6 years and currently go to UCL Akido club. To the left is a picture of me a few years ago when I first started Aikido in Bristol. Looking at the picture I think the technique looks like Gokyo but I'm open to suggestions. Please don't comment on the bad posture. (By the way, I'm the one stood up!).

When I'm not Aikidoing, other stuff includes going out with friends (that sounds like the sort of sad thing you see on C.V.'s), watching loads of films and videos I've collected over the years, Badminton and generally anything that seems a good idea. I've been water skiing recently and that was a good laugh. If anyone reading this wants to swap Simpsons episodes by the way, I have about 130.

Some top things I've been up to in the past year Include the Star Trek and Star Wars film premiere's, A bit of Walking, Scotland last year, saw U2 not so long ago, Alton Towers, etc. etc.

Another big thing I enjoy is the grat outdoors, heres a picture of a few of us swimming in a river when I went to South America, I'm in the middle. Unfortunately living in London the backpacking has taken bit of a back seat in the last few months. At the bottom of this page is another photo I took in Bolivia, I just put it on because it looks good.

That's about it, any requests or whatever you want to know, give me a mail. I'm sure you all want to see a good portrait photo of me so when I find one, I'll put it up as well but I don't like posing for photos.

      Mark
