T3 Emulator Home Page
Welcome to the T3 Emulator Home Page. This page allows you to
download the latest version of my Dragon/CoCo
emulator. T3 requires a PC with 80386 or above, a VGA or SVGA graphics
adapter and MS-DOS v2.00 or above. This page contains version 1.00 of T3,
which was released in November 1997.
A new version of T3 supporting Dragon DOS emulation is expected to
be released sometime in 2000. Watch this space!
Changes for T3 version 1.00 (re-issue):
- Added icon (T3.ICO) and BBS description (FILE_ID.DIZ).
- Cosmetic changes to documentation.
Changes for T3 version 1.00:
- Keypresses are now translated from the PC layout to the Dragon/CoCo
layout. Use Alt-K to turn translation on or off.
- UK or USA keyboards can be selected with Alt-U.
- A mouse can now be used to control the Dragon/CoCo joysticks.
- A joystick can now be used to control the Dragon/CoCo joysticks.
Enable the joystick by pressing Alt-J and choosing an update rate.
- Parallel (Dragon) and serial (CoCo) printer ports are now emulated.
Use Alt-P to select a device to use for printer output (can be a
parallel printer, a serial printer, or a file). Press F5 to
display/change the status of the printer port.
- Line feeds can be added to printer output automatically. Use Alt-E to
turn this feature on and off.
- Preferred task settings can now be saved, either automatically when a
task is deleted or at any time by pressing Alt-O.
- Now usually prompts for file names when saving or loading task
images.
- New 'Instant Replay' feature disables image and snapshot file name
prompts. Use Alt-R to turn on or off.
- The dynamic speed adjustment now exponentially accellerates.
- Illegal opcodes can now be either ignored or reported. This setting
can be changed with Alt-I.
- Shift-F1 now displays a graph of RAM pages in use by the Dragon/CoCo.
- Now supports MS-DOS v2.00, v4.00 and v7.00 file handling. The command
line option -2 forces the use of v2.00 calls if necessary.
- Windows 95 is now detected using the official MS method, and the full
range of long file name characters are now supported (space and +,;=[]).
- The -i option now adds a default extension if none given (.T3).
- File names are no longer restored from images when they are loaded.
- Display position can now be fine tuned using NUM LOCK with cursor
keys.
- A cold reset now overwrites all Dragon/CoCo RAM with zero.
- On Windows 95 keyboards the WIN and MENU keys are used by the
emulator.
- SPACE BAR can now be used to choose 'factory default' settings.
- Pause and resume functions have moved to the F7 key.
- Jump to Alldream function has moved to F6. Jump to Dreambug has moved
Shift-F6.
- Alt-X can now be used when there is only one task, so long as it was
not autoloaded.
- Now prevents accidental attempts to use D64ROM2 as a primary ROM.
- Now works correctly if D64ROM2 is only $3F00 bytes long.
- Now clears $FF03 bit 7 if read after an interrupt has occurred.
- Fixed bug causing -i option to crash in some circumstances.
- Fixed bug which caused newly created tasks to have an incorrect
architecture setting if a task was overlayed by one containing a
different ROM file.
