Welcome to the Dragon Cheat Zone! This page contains hacks and cheats for obtaining extra lives or special features in Dragon games. The Tandy CoCo is not specifically catered for on this page, but some of the built-in cheats may work on the CoCo.
Cheats given here are for use both with real machines and with emulators. If using a real machine, follow the method key for clues on how to enter the cheat. If using an emulator with a built-in debugger, you may be able to make POKEs by editing memory once a game is loaded. If this is not possible, follow the method key, but the cheat is unlikely to work if you are using a snapshot rather than a cassette file.
Some of these cheats have been discovered or tested by me, but other than this I give no assurance that they will work for you. Please also note that there was more than one released version of some games, so cheats and/or methods may not work on all versions.
This page is at the moment just a skeleton of what I have planned, and will be expanded sometime in the future. The author of this cheat did not specify a method for applying the cheat. If the cheat involves a POKE, it should probably be entered immediately before typing EXEC to run the game.
This cheat consists of a command to be entered after CLOADM has completed but before typing EXEC.
Full instructions for this cheat are given in the instructions step.
To use this cheat load the game as normal and then press the RESET button. Enter the commands given in the instructions.
To use this cheat type the following program to load the game. Once loaded enter the command given in the instructions.

This method is suitable for games with a short autorun part followed by a headerless part.
To use this cheat type the following program to load the game. Once loaded enter the command given in the instructions.

This method is suitable for games with a long single autorun part.
To use this cheat type the following program together with the line 20 given in the cheat instructions. RUN the program to load and execute the game. Note: this method is not compatible with PC-Dragon or T3 emulators.

This method is suitable for Microdeal's multi-part games containing intentional IO ERRORs.
This cheat is built-in. It can be applied simply by loading the game and following the instructions.
